About the role

Join the Shady Maple Farm Market bakery team! As a Bakery Production Member, you’ll help prepare, finish, and package a variety of baked goods while maintaining high standards for quality, freshness, and food safety. If you enjoy hands-on work, teamwork, and learning new skills, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Follow established recipes and production instructions to prepare bakery products.
• Measure, mix, and assemble ingredients for a variety of baked goods.
• Assist with icing, applying toppings, and finishing products for sale.
• Safely operate commercial bakery equipment and tools.
• Follow production sheets to prepare the appropriate variety and quantity of products.
• Check products throughout preparation for consistent quality and presentation.
• Package, label, date, and price finished baked goods.
• Maintain proper product rotation and minimize ingredient waste.
• Transport products and supplies using wheeled carts.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and stocked, and assist with routine cleaning.
• Follow food safety procedures and learn additional bakery production tasks as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced bakery environment.
• A positive attitude, flexibility, and initiative.
• Willingness to learn through hands-on training and assist in different areas of bakery production.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching.
• Lifting and carrying light objects, with occasional medium-weight lifting.
• Pushing wheeled carts and using hand jacks to move pallets of products and supplies.

Pay

• Competitive industry wages.
• Additional $3 per hour for Saturday hours worked.
