Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure proper supervision of department staff.
- Appropriate scheduling and staffing of department to satisfy business needs.
- Adequate supervision of department staff adherence to Federal and State laws, as well as corporate policies and procedures related to safety/sanitation.
- Hiring, training, and development of all departmental staff.
- Document performance issues and recommend disciplinary actions as needed.
- Ensure all associates in department follow company dress code.
- Provide the highest level of fast, friendly, and efficient customer service, exhibit C.H.O.P.S behaviors, adhere to 5S standards, at all times.
- Maintain understanding and compliance with corporate code of conduct.
- Monitor, control, and achieve pre-established financial results for the department.
- Monitor payroll, sales, gross profit, CTO, shrink, inventory levels.
- Merchandise department products according to corporate planograms and special programs.
- Show a complete knowledge of department products to customers.
- Adequately ensure proper shelf and display conditions.
- Adequately ensure proper stock levels of items, especially sale items.
- Adequately ensure proper item rotation.
- Adequately ensure the department conforms with all corporate, Federal, and State signing policies and regulations.
