Bakery Clerk

About the Role

The Bakery Clerk plays a key role in day‑to‑day bakery operations. Working alongside the Bakery Sales Manager, the clerk helps plan production, gathers ingredients, follows recipes with accuracy, and assists with baking tasks from start to finish. The role also involves providing courteous, helpful service to customers, offering product information, answering questions, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Ideal candidates enjoy a fast‑paced environment, take pride in consistent results, and appreciate the craft of baking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dough and other bakery ingredients.
• Glaze pastries and apply icing to baked goods.
• Assist with baking tasks, including monitoring oven temperatures.
• Ensure products meet quality and food‑safety standards.
• Plan daily production and gather necessary ingredients.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer product questions, and offer recommendations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Follow recipes and production guidelines with attention to detail.
