Bakery Clerk - #67 Reno - Nevada

About the role

The Bakery Clerk at El Super performs customer service and conducts various tasks within the bakery. They assist customers with bakery purchases, clean shelving and display cases, fill and rotate self-service displays, take special orders, and work with the baker to prepare items.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers in the bakery department.
• Aid customers with bakery purchases.
• Clean and refill self-service displays both in the front of the store and adjacent to the bakery.
• Work with customers to place special orders.
• Collaborate with the baker to determine baking or decorating needs.
• Contribute to department cleanliness by hosing down floors with soap and water.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 45 pounds occasionally, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).

• Physical stamina for lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling.
