Bakery Clerk - #50 Ontario

About the role

The Bakery Clerk at El Super #50 is a key member of the store operations team. Reporting directly to the Bakery Manager, this position involves providing customer service, conducting various tasks within the bakery, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining the cleanliness of the department.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers in the bakery department.
• Aid customers with bakery purchases and clean shelving and display cases.
• Fills and rotates self-service displays both inside and outside the store.
• Work with customers to place special orders and with the baker to determine baking or decorating needs.
• Assist in department cleaning by hosing down floors with soap and water.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively communicate with customers, clients, and colleagues.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate preferred.
