Bakery Clerk - #48 Wilmington

About the role

The Bakery Clerk at El Super performs customer service and conducts various tasks within the bakery. They assist customers with bakery purchases, clean shelving and display cases, fill and rotate self-serve displays, take special orders, and work with the baker to determine baking or decorating needs. This position also helps in department cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to the Bakery department.
• Aid customers with bakery purchases.
• Clean and refill self-serve displays.
• Take special orders from customers.
• Work with the baker to determine baking or decorating needs.
• Help with department cleaning by hosing down floors with soap and water.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).

Skills

• Customer service skills.
• Physical stamina for lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling.
• Attention to detail for cleaning and organizing displays.

Pay

$18.47 per hour.
