Bakery Clerk - #30 Anaheim - Ball Rd

About the role

The Bakery Clerk at El Super performs various tasks within the bakery department, providing customer service and assisting with bakery purchases. Essential functions include cleaning, filling, rotating self-service displays, taking special orders, and helping with department cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers in the bakery department.
• Aid customers with bakery purchases.
• Clean and fill shelving and display cases.
• Fills and rotates self-service displays both in the front of the store and adjacent to the store bakery.
• Work with customers to place special orders.
• Collaborate with the Baker to determine baking or decorating needs.
• Participate in department cleaning by hosing down floors with soap and water.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively communicate with customers, clients, and colleagues.
• Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 45 pounds occasionally, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).

Skills

• Customer service skills.
• Physical stamina for lifting and moving heavy items.
• Attention to detail for organizing and maintaining displays.

Pay
