Bakery Associate Part-Time

Here’s What You’ll Do

• Prepare and Produce Bakery Products to Production Planner
• Packaging and Labeling Bakery Products according to program plans
• Merchandising Bakery Products according to flight plans and merchandising expectations
• Stocking backroom with Bakery Products, rotating and dating cases/buckets
• Notifying the Bakery Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered
• Working as a team with other departments and stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash Retail stores
• Understanding basic functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Communicating tasks, recipes, weights, measures, and cleaning steps to other associates
• Following all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Safety Guidelines
• Complying with Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
• Adhering to Guest Experience Guidelines
• Performing additional tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs

Here’s What You’ll Need

• A High School Diploma (or GED) is preferred
• One year of retail or related experience is preferred
• The ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
• Basic mathematical skills
• Detail-oriented

Physical Requirements

• Lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Bending, stooping, twisting, and turning frequently
• Exposure to varied temperatures and outside weather conditions
• Subject to noise levels in the work environment that are usually low to moderate
