Bakery Associate

About the role

This position involves independently preparing, frying, packaging, displaying, and stocking bakery products to support store operations and financial goals. The role ensures adherence to safety, food safety, and guest experience standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce bakery items according to production plans.
• Package, label, and merchandise bakery products.
• Stock backroom with rotating and dating cases/buckets.
• Notify management when supplies need replenishing.
• Collaborate with other departments to promote store growth.
• Follow safety, food safety, PPE, and cleaning protocols.
• Ensure guest experience standards are met.
• Assist in tasks across departments as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail or related fields is a plus.
• Basic math, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
• Detail-oriented with good communication abilities.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform bending, stooping, and twisting. The work environment involves varied temperatures and moderate noise.
