Bakery and Coffee Supervisor
About the role
Reporting to the Bakery and Coffee Manager, the Bakery and Coffee Supervisor/Lead assists in managing all aspects of the front-of-house/service counters for both coffee and bakery. You will oversee service staff, ensure warm, friendly customer service, manage inventory, and maintain product quality and visual aesthetics.
Responsibilities
- Oversee service staff at bakery and coffee service counters, ensuring team members provide excellent customer service, including answering questions, selecting products, and packaging items with a smile.
- Manage inventory of bakery and coffee counters using movement reports to maximize sales and reduce waste.
- Assist the Bakery and Coffee Manager in overseeing weekly and monthly department promotions.
- Maintain the bakery case and coffee counter for product quality, expiration dates, and visual aesthetics.
- Stock, face, and keep products (e.g., bread, cookies, baked goods) clean and fresh in the vicinity of the case.
- Perform basic bakery duties such as baking off cookies and bread, cutting cakes, writing names on cakes, and packing.
- Maintain a positive, amicable, and upbeat customer service orientation with a "smile first" approach.
- Observe and enforce sanitation protocols and opening/closing procedures, including checking with the department manager at the start and end of shifts.
- Prepare and ensure team members prepare coffee beverages to customer satisfaction, delivered with a smile.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of customer service experience in a lead or supervisor role.
- Excellent verbal and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple concurrent tasks.
- Ability to lift objects up to 20 pounds regularly and stand or walk for more than 4 hours per day.

Pay
$21-25 per hour.
