About the role

As an integral member of our Food Services Team, you’ll prepare a variety of baked goods following standardized recipes and production guidelines. You’ll work with top-of-the-line equipment in a safe, supportive environment that encourages creativity and growth.

Responsibilities

• Bake and prepare food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, and more
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, and mixers
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensure security of company assets

Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations (e.g., proper food handling, sanitation, and storage)
• Required to obtain food safety certification(s)
• Basic math and counting skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Physical demands

• Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing
• May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
