About the role
As an integral member of our Food Services Team, you’ll prepare a variety of baked goods following standardized recipes and production guidelines. You’ll work with top-of-the-line equipment in a safe, supportive environment that encourages creativity and career growth.
Responsibilities
- Bake and prepare food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, and similar tasks
- Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, and mixers
- Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
- Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
- Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation
- Ensure security of company assets
Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet business needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
- Proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations (e.g., proper food handling, sanitation, and storage)
- Required to obtain food safety certification(s)
- Basic math and counting skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Physical demands
- Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing
- Wearing uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
