About the role
Join our Food Services Team at Aramark and bring your baking passion to life! You’ll have the opportunity to explore diverse flavors and techniques, follow delicious recipes, and work with high-quality equipment—all while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Bake and prepare a variety of foods according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
- Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, and more.
- Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, and mixers.
- Safely use utensils, including knives.
- Properly store food by following food safety policies and procedures.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward guests, customers, clients, and coworkers.
- Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned to meet business needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred.
- Proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations (e.g., proper food handling, sanitation, and storage).
- Required to obtain food safety certification(s).
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Physical Demands
- Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing.
- May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
