About the role

The Baker will be an essential part of the bakery team, working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen to prepare, mix, and bake dough, batters, and icings for breads, pastries, and desserts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, and bake dough, batters, and icings to create a variety of baked goods
• Operate specialized kitchen equipment
• Design and refine recipes
• Decorate finished products
• Maintain strict food safety standards
• Help manage inventory and workstations

Requirements

• At least six months of experience in a professional baking role (commercial experience preferred)
• Experience in a high-volume production bakery or kitchen
• Ability to follow written instructions and read complex recipes
• Strong baker's intuition (know when something is "done")
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions
• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to change
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand continuously for 8-10 hours
• Ability to withstand extreme temperatures for short periods of time
• Willingness to work in close proximity to others
