BAKER (FULL TIME)
About the role
Morrison Healthcare is hiring immediate full-time BAKER positions at Thomas Hospital located at 750 Morphy Avenue, Fairhope, AL 36532. Online applications are accepted only. Responsibilities
- Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries according to recipes and production specifications.
- Aid in production planning to meet daily requirements.
- Ensure proper food preparation by using approved recipes, adhering to production standards, and using appropriate equipment.
- Complete production records, including waste tracking, portion control, and reporting shortages; inform supervisor when supplies are low.
- Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils within the work area.
- Handle foods safely and appropriately during preparation and service.
- Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments.
- Keep display equipment clean and free of debris.
- Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly and customer-service-oriented manner.
- Relay relevant concerns from customers to supervisors.
- Work calmly, accurately, and efficiently during peak production and service times.
- Ensure all food is presented, served, and displayed according to standards.
- Follow sanitation and safety guidelines in handling food and equipment.
- Perform shift work as assigned, in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with department standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous food service and/or baking experience is required.
