BAKER (FULL TIME)

About the role

Fresh Ideas is seeking immediate full-time BAKERS at Young Harris College. Online applications are accepted. The schedule is full-time with flexible hours. Prior baking experience is required. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $19.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries according to recipes and production specifications.
• Aid in production planning to meet daily requirements.
• Track waste, record used/unused portions, and report shortages to supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Handle foods safely and maintain proper serving temperatures.
• Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints courteously.
• Ensure all food is presented, served, and displayed according to standards.
• Follow sanitation and safety protocols while handling food and equipment.
• Complete shift work promptly and accurately.

Requirements

Prior baking experience is required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Some college coursework in culinary arts is beneficial.

Skills

Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.
