BAKER (FULL TIME)

About the role

Fresh Ideas is hiring immediate full-time BAKERS at Cowley College located at 125 South 2nd Street, Arkansas City, KS 67005. Online applications are accepted only. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, with varying hours. Prior baking experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries according to recipes and production specifications.
• Aid in production planning to meet daily requirements.
• Ensure proper food preparation by using approved recipes, adhering to production standards, and using appropriate equipment.
• Complete production records including waste tracking, portion control, and reporting shortages; inform supervisor when supplies are low.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils within the work area.
• Handle foods safely and appropriately during preparation and service.
• Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner.
• Relay relevant concerns from customers to supervisors.
• Work calmly, accurately, and efficiently during peak production and service times.
• Ensure all food is presented, served, and displayed according to standards.
• Follow sanitation and safety guidelines while handling food and equipment.
• Perform shift work as assigned in accordance with department standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
