BAKER (FULL AND PART TIME)

About the role

Bon Appétit is seeking immediate hires for full and part-time BAKER positions. Located at SCAD - 231 West Boundary Street, Savannah, GA 31401. Online applications only. Schedule includes days, hours varying, and weekend and evening availability required. Perks include shift premium for weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries according to recipes and production specifications.
• Aid in production planning to meet daily requirements.
• Ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed standards, and using appropriate equipment.
• Complete production records, including waste tracking, portion control, and shortages.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Handle foods safely and appropriately during preparation and service.
• Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before shifts.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner.
• Ensure all food is presented, served, and displayed according to standards.
• Follow sanitation and safety protocols in handling food and equipment.
• Perform shift work as assigned, meeting department standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Previous baking, food service, and food safety experience is required.

Pay

$16.00 per hour to $19.00 per hour
