About the role
Bakers provide excellent, professional customer service. They oversee bakery products within the Deli department and produce baked goods and prepared foods utilizing expertise. They are responsible for merchandising PCC bakery products.
Location: Madison Valley - Seattle (2925 E. Madison St. Suite B).

Responsibilities
- Provides excellent, professional customer service
- Produces baked goods and prepared foods in accordance with PCC recipes
- Utilizes expertise in all aspects of baking
- Participates in recipe development and modification
- Handles and merchandises bakery products and promotes PCC baked goods
- Ensures quality control for consistently high-quality products
- Maintains department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Solves problems effectively and works well as part of a team
Requirements
- Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service
- Available to work the overnight shift, including weekends
- At least 2 years of production baking experience; ability to adapt and develop recipes
- Familiarity with specialty and prepared foods
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must meet physical demands: standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting between 10 and 40 lbs regularly
- A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Pay
Starting wage: $21.55/hour. Additional $1.50/hour night differential when applicable.
Schedule
Overnight shift, including weekends.
