About the role

At Bruegger’s Bagels, our Baker is the heart of our bakery, arriving early to kettle-cook our signature New York-style bagels. You’ll be the first in the store (as early as 3 AM), setting the tone for the day by ensuring quality product is stocked and ready for guests. Beyond baking, you’ll work as part of a team to provide excellent guest service—taking orders, making sandwiches, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Bake and prepare bagels and other bakery items to ensure quality product availability each shift.
• Stock the bagel wall and pastry case.
• Assist with order taking, sandwich making, and other guest service tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Work varied hours/days, including early mornings (as early as 3 AM) and weekends, based on business needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years or older.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work varied hours/days, including early mornings and weekends.
• Must pass a background check as required by local, state, and federal law.
• Possession of a current, valid, state-issued driver’s license (preferred but only required at specific locations).

Pay

Hourly rate: $14.57 - $21.86 per hour. Starting pay is subject to local and state minimum wage regulations. Ranges reflect what the employer reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position.

Schedule

Stores close at 2 PM, ensuring no evening or night shifts. Hours vary, with shifts starting as early as 3 AM and including weekends.
