Job Summary

Join our team as a Baker and contribute to providing high-quality baked goods at Camp Randall Stadium and the Kohl Center Arena. As part of this dynamic team, you’ll ensure that each dish meets the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation, all while following federal, state, and corporate food safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare high-quality food items following standardized recipes and instructions, meeting production and service schedules.
• Portioning & Presentation: Serve or prepare baked goods for transportation, ensuring the correct portion sizes, optimal temperatures, and appealing presentation.
• Kitchen Cleanliness: Clean kitchen areas after food preparation and service, maintaining high cleanliness standards and adhering to safe food-handling procedures.
• Food Storage & Organization: Keep refrigerators and storerooms organized and ensure that all food and supplies are stored according to safety standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain kitchen equipment according to established procedures. Report any issues with equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Safety & Compliance: Attend in-service and safety meetings to stay up-to-date with food safety regulations and best practices.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with coworkers, managers, and administrators to maintain smooth kitchen operations and deliver quality food service.

Qualifications

• Baking Experience: Previous baking experience in a professional environment is required, with a solid understanding of food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations.
• Certifications: Must have or be willing to complete ServSafe Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Safety Certification.
• Positive Attitude: A friendly, team-oriented approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 20-50 lbs and remain on your feet for long hours during events.
• Availability: Must be able to work all UW-Madison Football games and a majority of events at the Kohl Center Arena.
• Schedule: Ability to work first and/or second shifts beginning at 4am and 12pm. Includes one weekend day.
