About The Job
Baker – Merenda Box

Responsibilities
- Scale, mix, proof, bake, and finish products according to established recipes and production sheets.
- Produce consistent results by following weights, measurements, timing, and visual standards.
- Execute daily production targets and communicate with management if adjustments are needed.
- Prepare doughs, fillings, and batters, ensuring ingredients and items are properly labeled and rotated.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation at all times, including equipment, tools, and food storage areas.
- Monitor ovens, baking temperatures, and bake times to ensure accuracy.
- Follow all sanitation, food safety, and allergen protocols without shortcuts.
- Support the team by assisting with prep and utility tasks when required.
- Uphold the Merenda Box brand through product quality, presentation, and professionalism.

- Reliable, punctual, and steady under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and able to follow recipes exactly as written.
- Values cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.
- Works well independently and understands production flow.
- Communicates clearly and professionally with teammates and leadership.
- Enjoys early mornings and predictable routines.
Required Experience
- 1 year of professional baking experience in a commercial kitchen, bakery, or café.
- Proven experience executing production recipes and meeting volume targets in a food setting.
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a warm environment around ovens and equipment.
Schedule
Early mornings required. Weekend availability required. (We are not a late night bakery)

- Hourly: $15 + based on experience.
