Summary

The Bagger position requires operating a bagging machine to fill bags with product, ensuring proper labeling and weight, and passing bags through a metal detector. Additional duties may include performing other tasks as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Ensure batch numbers and product codes on labels match the product being dumped.
• Make sure the metal detector is in good working condition.
• Stack bags neatly on skids according to the correct color and return unused labels to the operator.
• Clean the machine and work area as needed.
• Detect any malfunctions of the metal detector and rollers and report them to the supervisor.
• Comply with all safety requirements and company policies.
• Report any shortages to the lead operator.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of manufacturing food preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and have good mathematical skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. continuously.

Work Environment

The job involves exposure to strong aromas, airborne dust particles, and operating machinery in production areas.
