Join us in the effort to reduce food waste and reduce hunger insecurity in Athens!
We have driving opportunities available daily for new volunteers.
Responsibilities
- Drive unsold, excess baked goods from bagel shops to donation sites including shelters, food pantries, and youth programs.
- Ensure that donated goods are properly stored and transported to avoid spoilage.
- Communicate with bagel shops to coordinate delivery schedules and ensure timely pickups.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to follow health and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Flexible availability to work on Mondays and Thursdays.
- Ability to manage time effectively to balance multiple tasks.
Skills
- Attention to detail for proper handling and storage of donated goods.
- Communication skills to interact with bagel shop staff and donation program coordinators.
