Bacon Lead Third Floor - 2nd Shift

Job Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, preparing, injecting peeling casing, weights, and moving unfinished and finished raw/cooked materials.
• Watch for equipment malfunctions or product defects, load raw materials into equipment, unload work in progress, or finished product, and move materials to and from the equipment.
• Identify reject products, rips, or blowouts, dip product into sanitizing bath, and notify lead or supervisory staff if unusual operations are identified.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in production area, maintaining a clean and safe work area in compliance with existing policy.
• Comply with organizational policies including safety, good manufacturing practices, food safety, and employment and work rules.
• Learn and understand appropriate safety procedures through education, training, use of protective equipment, and following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
• Perform pre-operation tasks such as machine set up and tear down.
• Scrap inedible products and inspect product to customer specifications.
• Understand and apply appropriate safety procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with employees at all levels of the organization.
• High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.
• Ability to read a scale and document weights accurately on documentation and input into ERP system.

Pay

This role is eligible for overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 hours in a week and may also be eligible for additional hourly premiums for perfect attendance and/or working evening or night shifts. Schedule

The position requires frequent physical agility of lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, using hands or fingers, talking, hearing, feeling objects, tools, controls, standing/walking on concrete flooring, and standing/walking for greater than 4 hours. The position also requires frequent lifting above shoulder height.
