Backup Mascot

Duties & Responsibilities

• Study and learn Tempo the Coyote's mannerisms and characteristics
• Assist Tempo the Coyote at home matches
• Provide support at select appearances, including birthday parties, parades, school visits, hospital visits, charitable events, and other events coordinated by Tempo the Coyote
• Aid in maintaining the condition of costumes and props
• Other duties as assigned by Tempo the Coyote

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge and interest in sports
• Knowledge and interest in mascots
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in social media
• Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette
• Mascot Experience (College or Professional)

Requirements

• Available as needed for Tempo the Coyote appearances
• Available to assist with home matches
• The understanding that working in sports is different than being a fan. This position does not guarantee candidates will be able to watch games.
• The understanding that many valuable positions within the organization are behind the scenes, and they provide little ability to watch the games
• Tempo the Coyote Height Range: 5'7 - 5'10
