Backup Delivery Driver (No CDL Required!)

About the Role

This position is responsible for backing up various designated automotive parts delivery routes throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. This becomes necessary as Route Delivery Representatives have scheduled time off and as routes are open. While covering routes, this position delivers automotive parts along a predetermined route while providing the highest levels of customer service. Each designated route starts and finishes in the same location each day.

Schedule

Monday through Friday (no nights or weekends), working around 10-hour days, starting at approximately 5:00am.

Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading automotive parts and safely operating a parts delivery vehicle
  • Delivering automotive parts to customers on a schedule and in a timely manner
  • Being personable while building and maintaining positive relationships with customers
  • Willingness to call on and establish new customer accounts
  • Being detail-oriented with all paperwork
  • Communicating with customers, warehouse Team, and other Team members to ensure accurate and efficient deliveries
  • Safe driving throughout each workday, ensuring all traffic laws are obeyed and no accidents occur
  • Working well independently without direct supervision, remaining productive and on task throughout each working day
  • Maintaining a neat and professional appearance that represents the company well

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and remain active throughout the workday (including standing, sitting, carrying, lifting, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and other work-related movements)
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • DOT Health Card or the ability to obtain one

Pay

Starting hourly pay rate range: $19.00 – $20.00+, with overtime included while backing up a route. Pay is evaluated based upon relevant skills, training, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
