Delivery Driver (No CDL Required)

About the role

Burton Mill Solutions is a division of Wood Technologies International (WTI), formed in 2021 through the merger of Burton Mill Solutions and USNR. The company supplies modern lumber processing equipment, technology, and tooling, including saws and knives, machinery and automation, process engineering, and mill flow. This Delivery Driver position is based at the company's facility in Menominee, MI. Drivers keep the supply chain running by handling, organizing, and moving goods so products are where they need to be on time.

Responsibilities

• Deliver packages and industrial blades or products according to the scheduled route
• Follow the designated schedule and seek efficient travel routes
• Scan or record packages and maintain documentation of deliveries
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections
• Follow all DOT and company regulations to operate safely
• Perform material handling; must be Forklift Certified or able to become certified
• Keep accurate inventory and driving records
• Receive and record incoming and outgoing shipments
• Verify accuracy of goods shipped or received against Bills of Lading, invoices, inventory, etc.
• Maintain accurate inventory information both incoming and outgoing
• May use bar code readers, computer terminals, or other electronic devices, including laser part marking
• General vehicle cleaning (inside/outside)
• May be required to provide support and training to others
• Work with a high sense of urgency
• Wear all required PPE
• Actively participate in Lean and Safety training and events

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License and good driving record
• Able to work with people and troubleshoot problems
• Able to accomplish daily work requirements to meet customer demands
• Able to speak and read English
• Able to do basic math
• Able to lift 50 pounds alone, or up to 100 pounds with lift assistance
• Able to sit, walk, climb steps, and carry objects
