Backpack Giveaway Event

About the role

Help us create a fun, welcoming, and memorable experience for local families at our End of Summer Carnival & Backpack Distribution! This event serves low-income families throughout Orange County by providing backpacks for the upcoming school year while offering a day of community, encouragement, and family fun. We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to help families feel welcomed and supported throughout the event.

Responsibilities

• Event setup and decorating
• Greeting and welcoming families
• Monitoring bounce houses and carnival games
• Assisting with activity stations
• Serving food and refreshments
• Making and distributing popcorn
• Helping organize and distribute backpacks
• Keeping activity and food areas clean and organized
• Event breakdown and cleanup

Requirements

• Must be friendly and welcoming to all guests
• Comfortable working with children and families
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist throughout the event
• Team-oriented attitude
• Volunteers under 18 may participate with appropriate supervision
