About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer, Backend to join our dynamic engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the technical vision and architecture for our backend systems, ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-performance infrastructure that supports our innovative music economy platform. You will be responsible for designing and implementing API layers, enhancing system performance, and contributing to the development of core features such as song and artist pages, web3 economic tools, community management, governance, and membership functionalities. As a leader, you will mentor junior engineers, influence product decisions, and collaborate across teams to ensure our platform continues to meet the evolving needs of artists and fans alike. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact the future of music technology, working on complex distributed systems, blockchain data pipelines, and API development in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience developing production-grade software.
• Proficiency in backend development with a strong understanding of system architecture.
• Experience with distributed systems and scalable infrastructure.
• Knowledge of blockchain data pipelines and real-time data processing is a plus.
• Familiarity with Typescript and GraphQL.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work effectively between GMT-8 and GMT-5 time zones (North American hours).
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and guiding engineering teams.

Responsibilities
