Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph Salary Range: $190,000-$225,000, depending on experience. *This position has up to 16 hours of telework weekly*

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain mission-critical software applications.
• Develop new software capabilities, enhance existing applications, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions that support evolving mission requirements.
• Develop, execute, and maintain test procedures for software components to ensure functionality, reliability, and quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Generate and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with software engineers, system engineers, and government stakeholders to design and implement effective technical solutions.
• Develop backend applications using Java, C++, or Python.
• Manage source code using Git.
• Build applications that interact with relational databases such as PostgreSQL using SQL.
• Leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies to support application development and deployment.
• Utilize collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage work items, document technical solutions, and support Agile development processes.
• Ensure quality control of newly developed and modified software through testing, code reviews, defect resolution, and continuous improvement, helping deliver reliable software that meets customer requirements.

Requirements

• Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Experience developing backend software applications using Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience supporting the development and execution of test procedures for software components.
• Experience generating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• Experience developing applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience using collaboration and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience ensuring the quality of developed and modified software through testing, debugging, and defect resolution.
• Experience using Git for source code management and version control.
• Experience developing applications that utilize relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, and writing SQL queries.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) additional years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
