Backend Engineer, IAM

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Backend Engineer, IAM to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will focus on building and evolving backend systems that support identity and access management at scale. You will help shape secure, reliable architecture for authentication and authorization while partnering closely with teams across the organization. The work will contribute directly to the stability, scalability, and quality of critical platform capabilities in a fast-moving media environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects that align with the company's goals
• Build scalable, high-quality identity and access management backend architecture
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization
• Execute strategic initiatives related to identity and access management
• Continuously develop technical and non-technical skills

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing and developing distributed backend systems
• Backend experience in authorization or authentication
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, preferably Go
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS, and GCP
• Strong communication skills and a high degree of empathy for collaboration

Pay

$164,200 – $229,900 annually
