Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining AI-driven systems for fraud detection and underwriting within the housing sector. The role requires a deep understanding of PDF processing, machine learning, and Python programming.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain machine learning models for fraud detection and underwriting
• Process and analyze PDFs to extract relevant financial data
• Optimize PDF processing pipelines for speed and efficiency
• Ensure high-quality output from machine learning models, balancing false positives and false negatives
• Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate PDF processing into backend workflows
• Work with the ML Ops team to manage and monitor the performance of machine learning models

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in backend software engineering
• Substantial experience working with PDFs and PDF-driven applications
• Pragmatic approach to problem-solving, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability
• Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in machine learning and data analytics
• Experience with Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with distributed systems and distributed computing
• Knowledge of common machine learning algorithms and techniques
• Experience with natural language processing and document understanding

Competitive salary range of $175K - $250K, with a commission structure of 0.10% - 0.50%
