Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining AI-driven systems for fraud detection and underwriting within the housing sector. The role requires a deep understanding of PDF processing, machine learning, and Python programming.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain machine learning models for fraud detection and underwriting
- Process and analyze PDFs to extract relevant financial data
- Optimize PDF processing pipelines for speed and efficiency
- Ensure high-quality output from machine learning models, balancing false positives and false negatives
- Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate PDF processing into backend workflows
- Work with the ML Ops team to manage and monitor the performance of machine learning models
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in backend software engineering
- Substantial experience working with PDFs and PDF-driven applications
- Pragmatic approach to problem-solving, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability
- Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in machine learning and data analytics
- Experience with Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with distributed systems and distributed computing
- Knowledge of common machine learning algorithms and techniques
- Experience with natural language processing and document understanding
