About the Opportunity:The BACKEND ENGINEER role is central to designing, building, and maintaining backend services that support critical workflows and AI applications. This position ensures backend systems are dependable, scalable, and maintainable, enabling product, data, and AI teams to operate efficiently. The engineer contributes to service architecture, cloud deployment, security, and compliance, ensuring high performance and reliability in a regulated setting. Responsibilities:Design and maintain production backend services for diverse internal and external use casesDevelop clear and testable APIs, domain models, and business logicBuild scalable workflows supporting complex business processesEnsure backend services are reliable, observable, and resilientContribute to service architectures covering operational and AI-driven workloadsIntegrate with various internal and third-party systems and cloud servicesDefine architecture standards balancing speed, security, and maintainabilityDeploy and operate services on major cloud platforms using automation and infrastructure-as-codeMonitor and improve service performance and reliabilityImplement security, compliance, and operational best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend solutions with business needsContinuously improve system performance, security, and developer productivity Requirements:3-5+ years of experience building and operating production-grade backend systemsStrong software engineering fundamentals including system design and testingExperience with modern backend programming languages such as Python, Go, C++, Rust, Java, or Kotlin Pay Range and Compensation Package:Salary range of $140,000 to $240,000 USD plus annual bonusCompensation varies based on experience, location, and other factors Benefits & Perks:Medical coverage starting on day oneCompany-matched 401(k) Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
