Backend Engineer - Card Transaction Processing

Position Overview

We seek a senior full backend software engineer to lead core backend architecture, card transaction processing, and high availability. This role involves extending current functionality, improving throughput and latency, and driving improvements in cloud infrastructure and observability.

What You’ll Do

• Own core areas of backend systems and extend current functionality
• Design, develop, and optimize scalable transaction processing services for high-throughput, low-latency financial transactions
• Tackle user friction issues for card transactions
• Improve cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation, observability, and monitoring systems

What We Are Looking For

• Strong fundamentals in software engineering and problem-solving
• Experience shipping impressive products with thousands of real users
• 5+ years of professional coding experience
• Drive and willingness to work hard

Plus if you have

• Experience with credit card transaction processors like Paymentology, Episode 6, etc.
• Experience with card issuing side

Compensation Range

$170K - $200K
