Backend Engineer - Card Transaction Processing

About the role

The position is within a key engineering team at Ether.fi, a leading crypto company managing over $10B in assets. The team focuses on building real consumer applications, including true on-chain banking solutions through products like Stake, Liquid, and Cash.

Responsibilities

• Own core areas of our backend systems, and extend current functionality to improve throughput and latency
• Design, develop, and optimize scalable transaction processing services to support high-throughput, low-latency financial transactions
• Drive improvements in our Cloud Infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation, observability, and monitoring systems
• Tackle user friction issues for card transactions, ensuring they are not declined

Requirements

• Strong fundamentals in software engineering and problem-solving
• Experience shipping impressive products with thousands of real users
• 5+ years of professional coding experience
• Drive and willingness to work hard and go the extra mile

Qualifications

• Experience in credit card transaction processors such as Paymentology, Episode 6, etc.
• Experience in card issuing side
