Backend Engineer

About the role

This role focuses on building prototypes and new capabilities for web applications and services, playing a key role in shaping the architecture needed to take minimum viable products into production.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, development, and maintenance of standardized processes and tools to streamline the software engineering lifecycle.
• Design APIs and develop data-processing and analytics pipelines while optimizing SQL queries.
• Provide technical oversight for production-ready systems and mentor engineers across all levels.
• Build and expand infrastructure for multi-application communications, logging, alerts, and authentication.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and research innovative solutions to address complex technical challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience in backend software development.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States with an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
• Proven ability to take projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to create clarity from ambiguous requirements.
