Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services and REST APIs
• Build distributed, cloud-native microservices
• Work with event-driven pipelines and healthcare data flows
• Optimize performance, reliability, and monitoring of systems
• Collaborate with architects, data engineers, and QA teams
• Ensure secure, PHI/HIPAA-compliant data handling

Requirements

• 3–5 years of backend development experience
• Strong Python programming skills (FastAPI, Django, or Flask)
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Proficiency with REST APIs and microservices architectures
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred) and HIPAA-compliant data handling
