Back up Receiver

About the role

As a Backup Receiver at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will handle all functions and paperwork related to receiving products. This role is crucial for maintaining the store's operations and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of product intake.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery including baler, compactor, and forklift safely and properly.
• Maximize sales potential through effective and proper receiving procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the receiving area.
• Report any receiving discrepancies to managers and buyers to resolve issues such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
• Examine contents and compare with records, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
• Attend applicable trainings and comply with established procedures, including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Communicate effectively with team members, store leadership, and service vendors.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving/transferring product weighing up to 60 lbs., from 5” to 56”, for up to 30 feet for up to 30 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Use a pallet jack to horizontally transfer product weighing up to 1000 lbs., requiring a force up to 50 lbs., for a distance up to 150 feet for up to 40 hours.
• Perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and use basic computer knowledge.
• Execute other duties as needed.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Vision required for reviewing invoices and monitoring incoming product.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as described in responsibilities.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.20 - $24.55 per hour, based on applicable experience and qualifications.
