Back Office Medical Assistant

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Back Office Medical Assistant to join a busy Family Practice team. This position provides hands-on clinical support to physicians and other healthcare providers while helping ensure patients receive efficient, compassionate, and high-quality care. The ideal candidate has previous back-office MA experience, is comfortable performing clinical duties independently within scope, and can thrive in a fast-paced outpatient environment. Key Responsibilities Room patients and prepare them for examinations and proceduresObtain and document vital signs and other pertinent patient informationReview and update patient information within the EMRAssist physicians and other providers with examinations, treatments, and proceduresSupport routine clinical procedures and Medical Assistant dutiesMaintain complete, timely, and accurate clinical documentationCoordinate follow-up appointments and provider requestsCommunicate patient needs and concerns to the appropriate providerAssist with maintaining efficient patient flow throughout the clinicProvide compassionate and professional patient carePerform additional back-office clinical duties as needed Required Qualifications Medical Assistant certification or equivalent relevant experiencePrevious Back Office Medical Assistant experienceExperience obtaining and documenting patient vital signsKnowledge of medical terminologyPrevious experience working with an EMRStrong patient service and communication skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environmentStrong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Preferred Qualifications Previous Family Practice or Primary Care experienceExperience with EpicExperience administering injections and immunizationsExperience supporting multiple providers or working in a high-volume outpatient practice Key Skills Back Office Medical AssistingEpic / EMRMedical TerminologyPatient RoomingVital SignsInjections & ImmunizationsClinical DocumentationProvider AssistancePatient Care CoordinationFamily Practice / Primary Care Experience Level: Intermediate Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fresno, CA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
