Bachelor's Level Social Services Internships

About the role

Bay State Community Services (BSCS) is a leader in the field of behavioral health services, specializing in care for the most vulnerable children and families in our community. We are committed to preparing the next generation of behavioral health practitioners through our robust clinical and generalist training programs. BSCS partners with nationally recognized academic institutions to provide graduate-level clinical internships in a variety of practice settings including our outpatient clinic, residential programs, and home-based services.

Responsibilities

Interns will be expected to:

• Assist in creating, respecting, empowering, and promoting wellness within the community.
• Contribute to historical research and documentation as needed.
• Support the development and implementation of recovery-oriented programming for young people.
• Collaborate with peers and supervisors to enhance communication and teamwork.
• Engage in ongoing learning and skill development through participation in workshops and seminars.

Qualifications

Interested candidates must currently be enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Social Work. Strong computer skills are required, and experience with systems such as DMH, EEC, DCF is preferred but not required. Experience working with youth and families is also desired, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional skills with spoken and written languages are desirable, and the ability to work a flexible schedule is essential.
