B- Shift Supervisor Maintenance (Goodlettsville, TN)

About the Role

This position is responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance coordination, including leading and directing maintenance technicians. The role involves fostering a well-trained and motivated staff, assisting the Maintenance Manager in directing and coordinating maintenance policies and procedures, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, evaluate, and train a staff of maintenance technicians.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in developing and implementing maintenance policies and procedures.
• Manage and oversee preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment to minimize downtime.
• Quickly assess problems to reduce production downtime.
• Ensure knowledge and adherence to SQF Quality Management policies, GMP practices, and company procedures among maintenance employees.
• Promote a ‘Safety First’ culture among staff.
• Develop and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program for equipment and plant.
• Diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) problems and direct or assist with repairs.

Requirements

• Associate degree or college program certificate in a related field, or 5+ years of related industrial maintenance experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience on industrial equipment or electrical troubleshooting.
• At least 1 year of maintenance/service technician manager experience with direct reports.
• SAP experience required.

Skills

• Communication Skills: Ability to speak clearly, listen, and understand ideas presented verbally. Ability to express ideas and concepts clearly in writing.
• Computer Skills: Basic PLC experience and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
