Job Summary
An ATS Operator is a highly skilled technician that creates precision mounted optics by utilizing alignment turning machines and associated metrology.
Summary Of Essential Job Duties
- Operate and setup alignment turning machining centers.
- Understand CNC programming and have the ability to create and/or modify CNC programs.
- Operate traditional inspection equipment such as toolmaker’s microscope, micrometers, height gages, and Vernier calipers.
- Able to read and understand both optical and traditional blueprints.
- Possess computer skills.
Minimum Requirements
- 1 Years of CNC machining experience.
- 1 Years of CNC programming experience.
- Knowledge of optical testing and test equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Advanced Math Skills.

Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- May involve prolonged periods of sitting/standing.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- May involve prolonged periods of magnified inspection (eye strain).
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
- The employee is frequently required to use the computer.
Total Rewards
- The compensation range for this position is $42,500.00 - $63,700.00, depending on experience.
- This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
