B&B Mechanic (Vehicle Operator)

We are committed to delivering safe, reliable service that gets customers to their destinations on time–and we're looking to hire talented folks with a commitment to excellence to make it all possible. **Only candidates with a Class-A (CDL A) Driver's License and experience with masonry, steel, and/or carpentry experience will be considered* Roles and Responsibilities:Repair and construct a variety of structures including railings, doors, stairs roofs, walls, and ceilingsDeliver materials and pick-up heavy equipment and tools to areas as assignedMix concrete, mortar, pour and finish concreteInstall temporary supports to hold structures in place while decayed steel is removedRig steel for installation or removalPerform light running repairs to assigned vehiclesInspect vehicle daily for safety and damageMaintain a safe work environment Education, Experience, and Qualifications:Qualified candidates must be able to: demonstrate carpentry, steel, and masonry abilitywork effectively under pressure and in all weather conditionsdemonstrate ability to communicate well with others at all levelsunderstand and know standard construction policieshave mathematical and mechanical aptituderead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualssuccessfully pass background, drug screening and physicalprovide a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) and clean 7-year driving historypossess a high school diploma or GED Work Location:Wood-Ridge, NJ; Various – B&B Mechanics/Vehicle Operators must be willing and able to travel to any of our NJ Transit locations as required. Rate of pay:This is a unionized position. The pay rates are non-negotiable. The starting pay rate for this position is $34.40.
