About the role

Azure Cloud Engineer will migrate data, applications, and other technologies from on-premise platforms to cloud-based infrastructures. Responsibilities include administering Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, monitoring system health, conducting risk assessments, managing project timelines, optimizing cloud environments, ensuring business needs are met, providing post-migration support, documenting configurations, automating tasks, implementing security policies, managing user accounts, and ensuring optimal performance of Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsibilities

  • Migrate data from on-premises or legacy systems to the Cloud
  • Administer Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Monitor system health and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Conduct risk assessments
  • Manage project timelines
  • Optimize cloud environments
  • Ensure business needs are met during and after migration
  • Provide post-migration support and address issues
  • Document configurations, processes, and procedures
  • Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell scripts
  • Implement security and compliance policies
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and licensing
  • Ensure seamless integration, security, and optimal performance of Microsoft 365 applications

Requirements

The ideal candidate must have a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance, 5+ years of related experience, and a bachelor's degree. Technical skills required include Azure, Microsoft 365, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud architecture, cloud security, PowerShell, Python, and experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

  • Proven experience with Azure cloud services and migration projects
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform and IaC
  • Proven experience with Microsoft 365 administration
  • Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong ability to self-organize and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must be willing to support an on-call rotation

Pay

$136,000 - $184,000 per year. Salary is determined based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.

Schedule

40 hours per week. Onsite work location in Annapolis Junction, MD. Travel is less than 10%. Telecommuting options are available.
