Role Overview

We are seeking a Production Support and Infrastructure Specialist to ensure the stability, security, and operational readiness of a business-critical investment accounting and reporting platform. This role serves as the primary owner of the AWS production environment and its operations. The specialist will partner with development, infrastructure, and other teams to troubleshoot issues, support cloud and server environments, manage operational workflows, and improve support processes. The objective is to separate production administration responsibilities from the current DevOps function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer the AWS production environment, including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
  • Own production support, incident response, vulnerability management, patching, and system maintenance.
  • Lead the migration and alignment of the application into ServiceNow and established production support standards.
  • Document processes, create runbooks, and implement operational improvements to reduce manual steps and risk.
  • Partner with Development, Product, Operations, and Production Assurance teams to ensure stable platform operations.
  • Help establish and scale a formal production support model to support global expansion.
  • Manage user onboarding, access provisioning, and certificate lifecycle management.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in production support for business-critical applications, including incident triage and root-cause analysis.
  • Strong AWS expertise (8+ years preferred) with hands-on experience in production administration and troubleshooting of services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and VPCs.
  • Strong administration experience with Linux (AWS Linux/Red Hat), including patching, package management, and system maintenance.
  • Experience with patching, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure support.
  • Familiarity with security and access management, including user provisioning, MFA, and vulnerability remediation workflows.
  • Experience with workflow management tools such as ServiceNow, GitLab, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to work independently, determine priorities, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting financial services platforms, such as investment accounting or asset management.
  • Working knowledge of Snowflake, data pipelines, or batch processing.
  • Prior experience supporting globally distributed applications or multi-region cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with automation or scripting using shell scripts or Python.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code concepts (Terraform) or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Practical exposure to SAP S/4HANA, PostgreSQL, or ETL workflows.
  • Exposure to ITIL-based support processes like change, incident, and problem management.
