About the role
Guidehouse is seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Software Developer. This role requires up to 10% travel and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Responsibilities
- Automate provisioning and lifecycle management of AWS services using Terraform or similar tools.
- Deploy, configure, harden, and maintain infrastructure across AWS and hybrid environments.
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and automation issues.
- Implement operational visibility with logging/monitoring improvements.
- Support cybersecurity best practices and zero-trust infrastructure operations.
- Collaborate with security and networking teams to implement secure configurations and operational processes.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
- Work closely with engineering, security, networking, and application teams.
- Partner with data engineers and scientists to enable infrastructure needs for data pipelines and machine learning workflows.
- Maintain high-quality engineering documentation.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or four (4) to ten (10) years of hands-on experience in AWS, cloud infrastructure, and/or enterprise IT operations.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Terraform for AWS infrastructure automation.
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, zero-trust concepts, and compliance frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27000.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Kiro).
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Qualifications
- Additional four (4) years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (or equivalent).
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Experience with Grants.gov applications.
- Experience with data pipeline implementations for lakehouse platforms like Databricks or AWS services.
- Experience with monitoring and SIEM tools such as CloudWatch and Splunk.
- Experience supporting enterprise business continuity and disaster recovery solutions.
Skills
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools.
- Experience with Grants.gov applications.
- Experience with data pipeline implementations for lakehouse platforms.
- Experience with monitoring and SIEM tools.

Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00 - $163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
