AVP, Staff Review Appraiser

Responsibilities

• Complete complex and specialty evaluations and appraisal reviews within SLA
• Complete administrative task and ad hoc requests as needed by SLA
• Absorb and assist in the training of staff and analysts as needed
• Process invoices for the appraisers and reviewers on Axos panel, once they complete an assignment for Axos
• Generate reports which identify when an appraisal report has been received and needs to be assigned to a staff, contract, or third‐party reviewer
• Absorb and assist with team member training and development, to increase staffing bandwidth for the completion of complex appraisal reviews
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Provide written summaries and feedback on reviewed appraisals, document issues and suggest necessary revisions. When necessary, provide and develop a second opinion of value
• Absorb and ensure that an accurate and reliable opinion of value that reflects the market value, condition, and marketability of the subject property in compliance with guidelines and standards is received in order to mitigate collateral risk
• Absorb and verify that all appraisals are conducted impartially and without bias
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 6-8 years of appraisal experience specializing in specific types of properties and complex assignments
• Certified (general or Commercial) Commercial Real Estate Appraisal experience
