AVP Property Claims

About the role

For our client, we are seeking an AVP Property Claims to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will focus on property claims coverage analysis and technical claims support within a broker-facing environment. The position partners closely with insurance carriers, brokers, and retail partners to resolve complex coverage issues and advise on practical solutions for recurring claims matters. It is a strong fit for a strategic claims professional who can balance legal-style analysis with relationship management and cross-functional collaboration. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with insurance carriers’ claims departments to resolve coverage issues
• Draft coverage rebuttal position letters
• Review policies and provide technical support to broker teams
• Counsel brokers and retail partners on coverage and claims-related issues
• Mediate claims issues and propose acceptable solutions
• Stay updated on claims and coverage developments
• Advise on policy wording solutions for recurring coverage issues
• Develop relationships with carriers and brokers to enhance credibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 8+ years of commercial property claims experience
• Previous insurance carrier experience with high dollar and severe property claims
• Experience in inland marine and ocean marine claims is a plus
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Proactive long-term strategic thinking

Pay

$112,000 – $140,000 annually
