AVP - Pet Partners and Digital Experience

This role is pivotal in realizing Synchrony’s ambitious Health and Wellness growth goals by driving strategic solutions and growing the pet market portfolio for the platform. The AVP will work with external partners and cross-functional teams to identify expanded revenue opportunities and deliver growth initiatives for the pet business vertical across CareCredit, including coordinating with pet insurance partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Drive commercialization (accounts, transactions) by serving as relationship lead for key ISV and digital partners
  • Source and negotiate partnership agreements directly with pet software and eCommerce partners; obtain IRSC approval and own partnership growth initiatives
  • Collaborate with Pet leadership, H&W ISV team, Business Development, Ventures, and Strategy to pursue integrations, eCommerce partnerships, and new product opportunities for existing partners
  • Support Partners and Digital Experiences team with pipeline management, sales operations, and reporting as needed
  • Liaise with Vet CD team to provide subject matter expertise for large and mid-size partners utilizing ISV workflow integrations
  • Engage, influence, and coordinate prioritization of business objectives and IT development
  • Track and report performance: Establish KPIs (pipeline, integrations delivered, activation/adoption, volume/revenue, partner health/NPS) and provide regular executive updates and recommendations
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Expected to travel 25-50% based on partner/conference schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of experience in Financial Services
  • 3+ years of sales/marketing experience with a track record of results
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience delivering formal communications to senior business leaders or key external business partners
  • Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field
  • Experience working within eCommerce and/or digital payments
  • Pet and/or veterinary industry experience, including in-depth knowledge of the marketplace
  • Experience building relationships with Senior Management
  • Understanding of revolving and installment credit market, including credit compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of the territory/marketplace dealer base
  • Ability to identify new opportunities and develop solutions to achieve results
  • Strong performance track record and focus on results
  • Highly motivated with ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver on deadlines
  • In-depth understanding of concepts and principles and basic commercial awareness
  • Analytical thinker with excellent communication and training skills
  • Proven ability to influence corporate decision makers; strong negotiating skills
  • Proven ability to work remotely and independently

Pay

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $155,000 USD annually and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based on work experience, skill level, or knowledge. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro, and Seattle.

Schedule

This role offers flexibility with the option to work from home near one of Synchrony’s Hubs or come into an office. You will be required to commute to your nearest Hub (either virtual or physical) for in-person engagement activities such as regular business or team meetings, training, and culture events. Field Sales and some Commercial team roles may have varied location requirements based on partner obligations or preferences.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation, and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • Must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service before eligibility to post on other roles; once met, must have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before posting for future non-exempt roles
  • Employees (Level 8 or greater) must have at least 18 months’ time in position before posting
  • All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or approval from manager and HR if performance expectations are not met)
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this job opening
